23rd August 2016 – 90 th birthday donation for Fleetwood RNLI
As Kevin Clutton, from Knott End approached his 90th birthday, he decided to help the RNLI lifeboat station at Fleetwood, by asking friends to make a donation. He had no idea how generous his friends are.
Sunday 18th September – Fleetwood RNLI help rescue horses from mud during multi-agency operation
The volunteer lifeboat crew from RNLI Fleetwood helped rescue two horses and their young riders from the mud at Knott End yesterday (Sunday 18th September).
30th August Fleetwood RNLI say farewell to William Street
On Tuesday evening (30th August) the volunteer lifeboat crew will say a sad farewell to their Tyne class lifeboat, William Street. After 27 years active service at Fleetwood lifeboat station, she is being replaced by the Shannon class lifeboat, Kenneth James Pierpoint.
26th October 2016 – Magnificent donation by schoolboy to Fleetwood RNLI
The volunteer lifeboat crew at RNLI Fleetwood received a surprise visit yesterday, from 12 year old Daniel Burke, who had raised £175 for the charity.
13th November 2016 – Fleetwood RNLI Chairman receives award
Captain Peter Woodworth, of Fleetwood lifeboat, received two surprises during a celebration lunch at the Trafalgar Restaurant in Fleetwood on Sunday (13th November).
16th November 2016 – Fleetwood RNLI rescue wind surfer
Both RNLI Fleetwood’s inshore (ILB) and all-weather lifeboats (ALB) were called into action today (16th November) when a wind surfer was reported to be in difficulty off Sunderland Point, near Heysham.
24th November 2016 – Fleetwood RNLI join search for missing fishermen
Two fishermen, who were reported to UK Coastguard as overdue by their families, sparked a search off the Fylde coast yesterday (24 November).
7th December 2016 – Fleetwood RNLI welcome first female Helm
It was congratulations all round as lifeboat volunteer Angela Sanderson became the first female Helm of Fleetwood RNLI’s inshore lifeboat last Tuesday (29 th November).

The members of Cleveleys Working Men’s Club raised an amazing £4,000 for the RNLI Fleetwood lifeboat crew and presented the cheque at a gala evening.
